  • Adaptive Apparel vs. Traditional Apparel: Different Construction, Same Spartan Pride

Look around Michigan State on any busy fall afternoon and you'll see thousands of different Spartans.

    Students.

    Alumni.

    Faculty.

    Staff.

    Parents.

    Athletes.

    Fans.

People who have been part of the community for decades and people who arrived on campus only days ago.

No two Spartan experiences are exactly the same.

So why should we assume everyone needs exactly the same clothing?

That's one of the ideas at the heart of Every Spartan.

Traditional and adaptive apparel may be constructed differently.

    They may use different closures.

    Different openings.

    Different fits.

    Different design solutions.

But the reason someone puts them on is exactly the same.

To represent something they are proud to be part of.

    Different construction.

    Same identity.

    Same community.

    Same Spartan pride.

    What Is Traditional Apparel?

Traditional apparel is designed around conventional garment construction.

Think about the familiar clothing most people encounter every day:

    T-shirts

    Hoodies

    Sweatshirts

    Pants

    Jackets

    Polos

    Hats

These products generally assume the wearer can interact with common garment features such as standard neck openings, buttons, zippers, waistbands, sleeves, and traditional dressing methods.

For millions of people, those designs work perfectly well.

And there's nothing wrong with them.

The problem begins when traditional construction is treated as though it works equally well for everyone.

    It doesn't.

    What Is Adaptive Apparel?

Adaptive apparel uses thoughtful design features that can make dressing easier, more comfortable, or more practical for people with different physical needs.

Depending on the garment and intended wearer, adaptive features may include things such as:

    Alternative closures

    Magnetic or easier-access fasteners

    Wider openings

    Seated-wear construction

    Adjusted garment lengths

    Easier dressing access

    Modified waistbands

    Reduced or repositioned seams

    Alternative entry points

There isn't one universal definition of what every adaptive garment should look like.

That's because there isn't one universal disability or mobility need.

Adaptive design is about recognizing that traditional construction isn't always the best solution.

    Adaptive Doesn't Mean "Different People"

    This distinction is incredibly important.

Adaptive apparel is different clothing construction.

It does not represent a different class of people.

Someone wearing adaptive apparel may be:

    A student.

    An alumnus.

    A professor.

    A parent.

    A lifelong fan.

    A season-ticket holder.

    A donor.

    A staff member.

    A Spartan.

    Their apparel may function differently.

Their connection to the community doesn't.

    Why Apparel Construction Matters

For someone who has never struggled with dressing, clothing construction can be almost invisible.

    You grab a shirt.

    Put it on.

    Zip the jacket.

    Button the pants.

    Go.

But small design decisions can create significant barriers for someone with limited:

    Dexterity

    Arm movement

    Hand strength

    Balance

    Range of motion

    Mobility

A zipper that seems completely ordinary to one person may be difficult for another.

The way a garment fits while standing may not work as comfortably while seated for long periods.

A shirt opening may create unnecessary difficulty during dressing.

Adaptive design looks at those experiences and asks:

Can we make this work better?

    Good Design Solves Problems

Adaptive apparel shouldn't be viewed as charity.

    It's design.

Good design begins by identifying a problem and creating a better solution.

We already accept this concept everywhere else.

    Automatic doors improve access.

    Curb cuts improve mobility.

    Captions improve access to information.

Voice controls provide another way to interact with technology.

Adaptive apparel applies the same principle to clothing.

The goal isn't to make someone feel different.

The goal is to remove unnecessary barriers.

    Why Every Spartan Offers Both

Every Spartan could have simply created traditional collegiate apparel.

There are certainly plenty of people who want it.

But that wouldn't fully represent what Every Spartan means.

The name itself carries a responsibility.

    Every. Spartan.

    Not most Spartans.

Not only Spartans who wear traditional clothing.

Not only Spartans whose bodies interact with apparel in the same way.

If we're going to use the word Every, we need to keep asking ourselves who might still be left out.

Offering both traditional and adaptive apparel is one way we begin answering that question.

Inclusive Apparel Isn't About Creating a Separate Corner

One of the biggest challenges with accessibility is that inclusion sometimes becomes separation.

    There's the "regular" version.

And then somewhere else is the "accessible" version.

    That may technically provide access.

But it doesn't always create belonging.

Every Spartan takes a different view.

Traditional and adaptive products should be part of the same Spartan story.

The garment construction may change because the wearer has different needs.

    The identity shouldn't.

Imagine Two Friends Going to a Game

Picture two lifelong Spartans heading to a Michigan State football game together.

One wears a traditional Every Spartan shirt.

The other wears an adaptive version.

    Maybe one uses a wheelchair.

    Maybe one has limited dexterity.

Maybe dressing independently is easier because of specific adaptive features.

When they arrive at the game, nobody needs to think:

    Traditional fan.

    Adaptive fan.

    They're simply two Spartans.

That's the future inclusive apparel should help create.

The Design Should Still Be Something You Want to Wear

    Function matters.

    But function alone isn't enough.

People with disabilities don't stop caring about:

    Style

    Color

    School pride

    Graphics

    Trends

    Personal expression

    Adaptive apparel shouldn't communicate:

"Here's the functional option you have to settle for."

    It should communicate:

"Here's the apparel you wanted—with construction that works better for you."

    That's a very different philosophy.

    Same Designs Can Strengthen Belonging

One of the most powerful approaches to inclusive apparel is allowing traditional and adaptive garments to share the same visual identity.

Imagine a family attending a game.

One person wears a traditional hoodie.

    Another needs adaptive construction.

Why shouldn't both be able to wear the same Spartan message?

Matching or coordinated designs reinforce something important:

Nobody is on the outside of the group.

    The construction accommodates the individual.

    The design connects the community.

Accessibility Can Benefit More People Than Expected

Adaptive features may be designed with disability in mind, but accessible design can sometimes benefit a much broader population.

    Consider someone recovering from surgery.

An older adult experiencing reduced dexterity.

    Someone with a temporary injury.

A person experiencing changes in mobility.

Accessibility isn't relevant only to a small, fixed group of people.

    Human needs change.

    Bodies change.

    Circumstances change.

Designing with flexibility in mind can create better options for more people.

Inclusion Begins With Asking Better Questions

For decades, much of apparel design began with:

    What do most people need?

    Inclusive design adds another question:

    Who doesn't this work for?

That question can reveal barriers that were previously overlooked.

And once a barrier is recognized, designers can begin looking for solutions.

    That's how progress happens.

Not by assuming one solution fits everyone.

    By listening.

    Learning.

    Testing.

    Improving.

Adaptive Apparel Shouldn't Require Giving Up Identity

Clothing is deeply connected to identity.

    People use it to represent:

    Their school.

    Their hometown.

    Their favorite team.

    Their profession.

    Their culture.

    Their interests.

    Their personality.

    Their community.

When someone can't find accessible clothing connected to those identities, the problem is bigger than clothing.

They're being excluded from a form of self-expression that many other people take for granted.

That's why collegiate adaptive apparel matters.

A Spartan should be able to dress like a Spartan.

The Bigger Meaning Behind Collegiate Apparel

College apparel carries unusual emotional weight.

A Michigan State shirt can represent:

    Four years on campus.

    A parent's alma mater.

    A family tradition.

    A championship memory.

    A degree earned decades ago.

    A child currently attending MSU.

A career spent working at the university.

A lifelong connection to Michigan State.

People don't wear collegiate apparel simply because they like the color.

They wear it because it says:

This place is part of my story.

Everyone deserves access to that expression.

    Inclusion Should Feel Ordinary

One of the best possible outcomes for adaptive apparel would be for it to become completely normal.

    Not remarkable.

    Not unusual.

Not treated as a special project.

    Just another option.

    Small.

    Medium.

    Large.

    Traditional.

    Adaptive.

    Different needs.

    Different choices.

    Same community.

When accessibility becomes part of the normal way products are designed and offered, inclusion becomes much more meaningful.

The Goal Isn't to Eliminate Traditional Apparel

Inclusive design isn't about replacing traditional apparel.

Traditional garments work well for millions of people.

    They should remain available.

    The goal is choice.

If traditional construction works for you, great.

If adaptive construction works better, that option should exist too.

True inclusion doesn't force everyone into the same solution.

It creates enough thoughtful options for more people to participate.

    Representation Matters in Marketing Too

Offering adaptive apparel is only part of the equation.

People also need to see themselves represented.

That means people with disabilities should appear naturally in:

    Product photography

    Social media

    Advertising

    Brand storytelling

    Community campaigns

Not every photograph involving disability needs to be about disability.

Sometimes a wheelchair user is simply wearing a Spartan shirt because they're a Spartan.

    That's representation.

Every Spartan Is Bigger Than Apparel

At its core, Every Spartan isn't simply about creating more clothing options.

It's about challenging a bigger assumption:

That inclusion belongs in a separate category.

We believe inclusion should be woven into the entire experience.

    Traditional apparel.

    Adaptive apparel.

    Students.

    Alumni.

    Fans.

    Families.

    Different abilities.

    Different experiences.

    One community.

That's what Every Spartan is supposed to represent.

    Different Construction. Same Pride.

There will always be differences between people.

That's not something we need to solve.

It's something we should design for.

    Our clothing may fit differently.

    Our bodies may move differently.

    Our experiences may be different.

But when someone puts on green and white and proudly represents Michigan State, the message is shared.

    I'm a Spartan.

And there should be room for everyone in that statement.

    Different construction.

    Same Spartan pride.

Every Ability. Every Moment. Every Spartan.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    What is adaptive apparel?

Adaptive apparel is clothing designed with features that can make dressing or wearing garments easier or more comfortable for people with disabilities, limited mobility, reduced dexterity, or other physical needs.

How is adaptive apparel different from traditional apparel?

Traditional clothing generally uses conventional construction, while adaptive garments may incorporate alternative closures, openings, fits, or other features designed around different dressing and mobility needs.

Is adaptive apparel only for wheelchair users?

No. Adaptive apparel may benefit people with many different disabilities, mobility needs, dexterity limitations, temporary injuries, or age-related changes.

Does Every Spartan offer traditional apparel too?

Yes. Every Spartan offers both traditional and adaptive apparel because inclusion is about providing meaningful options rather than replacing one type of clothing with another.

Why is adaptive collegiate apparel important?

Collegiate apparel is a powerful way people express identity and belonging. Adaptive options help more students, alumni, fans, faculty, staff, and families participate in that tradition.

Does adaptive apparel have to look different?

Not necessarily. Adaptive and traditional garments can share the same designs and school identity while using different construction to meet the wearer's needs.

  • Welcome Back, Spartans: A New Semester, A New Chapter | Every Spartan

There are few times of the year that capture the spirit of Michigan State University quite like move-in week.

    Residence halls come alive.

Cars line the streets with trunks full of boxes, mini refrigerators, and carefully packed memories from home. Families make one more trip up the stairs carrying laundry baskets and desk lamps before stopping to take that inevitable photo outside the residence hall.

Returning students greet friends they haven't seen all summer.

    Faculty and staff prepare classrooms.

The Spartan Marching Band begins practicing once again.

Across East Lansing, there is an unmistakable feeling that something exciting is beginning.

    A new semester.

    A new chapter.

Another opportunity to become part of a story that has been unfolding for more than 170 years.

At Every Spartan, this is one of our favorite times of the year—not because classes are starting, but because the Spartan community is coming together once again.

    Every Spartan Starts Somewhere

Every Spartan has a "first day."

For some, it's moving into a residence hall for the very first time.

For others, it's walking into a classroom after transferring from another school.

It might be the first day as a faculty member.

    The first football game.

    The first research project.

The first day working on campus.

The first time cheering from the student section.

Or perhaps the first time returning to campus decades after graduation.

    Every journey begins differently.

But every journey becomes part of the larger Spartan story.

Move-In Week Is More Than Moving Boxes

To an outside observer, move-in week might look like organized chaos.

    Parents carrying furniture.

    Students searching for parking.

Residence hall volunteers helping unload cars.

    Orientation activities happening across campus.

But beneath all the activity is something much more meaningful.

    Move-in week represents possibility.

Friendships that haven't been formed yet.

    Lessons waiting to be learned.

Experiences that will shape careers and lives.

    Traditions waiting to be discovered.

Every cardboard box being carried into a residence hall contains more than belongings.

It carries hopes, goals, and dreams.

Returning Students Help Shape the Community

Every fall, thousands of Spartans return to East Lansing with a little more experience than they had the year before.

    Sophomores become mentors.

    Juniors become leaders.

Seniors begin preparing for graduation while helping new students feel welcome.

The Spartan community grows stronger because each generation helps the next one succeed.

Sometimes that support comes through formal mentoring.

Other times, it's something as simple as giving directions to a confused first-year student, inviting someone to join a study group, or offering encouragement before an exam.

Community is built through small moments repeated every day.

    Alumni Never Stop Being Spartans

One of the remarkable things about Michigan State is that graduation isn't the end of the relationship.

    It's simply another chapter.

Every August, alumni across the country find themselves paying a little more attention to campus.

    Football season approaches.

    Students begin moving in.

Green and white start appearing everywhere again.

Many alumni remember exactly how they felt during their own first week on campus.

    They remember nervous excitement.

    Meeting lifelong friends.

    Discovering favorite study spots.

Learning traditions that still bring a smile years later.

    The campus changes over time.

The feeling of being a Spartan doesn't.

A Community That Grows Stronger Through Inclusion

Every Spartan was founded on a simple belief:

Everyone deserves to feel like they belong.

That belief becomes especially important during the beginning of a new school year.

Every incoming student arrives with a unique story.

    Different hometowns.

    Different cultures.

    Different abilities.

    Different experiences.

    Different dreams.

Those differences are not barriers to the Spartan community.

They are one of its greatest strengths.

The most welcoming communities aren't built because everyone is the same.

They're built because everyone is valued.

    Inclusion Should Be Visible

Belonging isn't just something we talk about.

It should be reflected in the choices we make.

That's one reason Every Spartan is committed to offering both traditional and adaptive apparel.

    Representation matters.

Adaptive apparel should never feel like an afterthought or a separate category hidden from view.

It belongs alongside every other product because members of the Spartan community belong alongside one another.

Inclusion works best when it becomes ordinary.

When everyone can find apparel that fits their needs, everyone has another opportunity to proudly represent the community they love.

The Stories Are What Make Michigan State Special

Ask an alumnus about Michigan State, and they probably won't begin by talking about buildings.

    They'll talk about people.

    A roommate.

    A professor.

    A coach.

    A teammate.

    A mentor.

    A lifelong friend.

Every Spartan has a story worth telling.

That's why Every Spartan Stories exists—to celebrate the experiences that make this community unlike any other.

    Some stories are extraordinary.

    Many are beautifully ordinary.

Walking to class in the first snowfall.

Watching the Spartan Marching Band perform.

    Late-night study sessions.

    Tailgates with friends.

    Graduation day.

Those moments become memories that last long after college.

Every New Semester Writes Another Chapter

The Spartan story is never finished.

Every August, new students begin writing their first chapter.

    Returning students continue theirs.

Faculty welcome another class of learners.

    Researchers pursue new discoveries.

    Coaches prepare new teams.

    Families continue traditions.

Alumni cheer from around the world.

Every person adds something unique to the story.

That is what makes the Spartan community so remarkable.

    More Than Apparel

People sometimes assume Every Spartan is simply an apparel company.

The truth is, apparel is only one way we celebrate the Spartan experience.

Every design begins with a story.

Every collection reflects a tradition, a community, or a shared experience.

When someone wears Every Spartan, we hope they are doing more than showing school pride.

We hope they are expressing a connection to the people, memories, and values that define Michigan State.

Because this has never been about selling shirts.

It has always been about celebrating Spartans.

    Welcome Home

Whether this is your very first semester...

Or your fiftieth year as an alumnus...

Whether you're moving into a residence hall, walking into your classroom, returning to work on campus, cheering from Spartan Stadium, or following Michigan State from hundreds of miles away...

You are part of something bigger than yourself.

You are part of a community that continues to grow because each generation welcomes the next.

    A new semester has begun.

A new chapter is waiting to be written.

    Welcome back, Spartans.

    Everyone has a story.

    Everyone belongs.

Every Ability. Every Moment. Every Spartan.

  • The Power of Belonging: Why Community Is at the Heart of Every Spartan

Ask ten people what it means to be a Spartan, and you'll probably hear ten different answers.

One person might remember their first football game in Spartan Stadium.

Another might think about late nights studying in the library.

Someone else may immediately picture commencement day, the first time they stepped onto campus, or the friendships that have lasted decades.

No two Spartan journeys are exactly alike.

Yet somehow, they all belong to the same story.

That's the idea behind Every Spartan.

It's not about creating another apparel brand.

It's about celebrating a community built on shared experiences, lifelong connections, and the belief that every Spartan has a place in the story.

Being a Spartan Is More Than Attending Michigan State

Michigan State University is where many Spartan stories begin.

But being a Spartan doesn't end with graduation—or require earning a degree.

    The Spartan community includes:

    Current students.

    Alumni.

    Faculty.

    Staff.

    Student-athletes.

    Coaches.

    Researchers.

    Parents.

    Families.

    Fans.

    Donors.

    Volunteers.

    Community partners.

Every person contributes something unique to the university's story.

That's why Every Spartan isn't about defining who belongs.

It's about recognizing that belonging has always been bigger than a single title.

Community Is Built Through Shared Experiences

What creates a community isn't simply geography.

    It's shared moments.

Cheering together after a game-winning touchdown.

Walking across campus on the first crisp day of fall.

Meeting lifelong friends in a residence hall.

Working late on a group project.

Watching graduates cross the commencement stage.

    Volunteering together.

Supporting one another during difficult times.

These moments create bonds that often last a lifetime.

Years later, people may forget the exact dates.

They rarely forget how those moments made them feel.

    Belonging Looks Different for Everyone

One of the most beautiful things about the Spartan community is its diversity.

Every Spartan arrives with different backgrounds, perspectives, talents, and life experiences.

Some grew up dreaming about attending Michigan State.

Others discovered it later in life.

    Some compete on the field.

    Others conduct groundbreaking research.

    Some teach.

    Some mentor.

    Some volunteer.

Some simply show up year after year to cheer from the stands.

    Every journey matters.

    Every contribution matters.

    Every story matters.

    Inclusion Strengthens the Entire Community

Belonging isn't just about being invited.

It's about feeling welcomed, respected, and valued.

When people see themselves represented, they're more likely to participate, contribute, and build meaningful relationships.

That's why inclusion isn't an extra feature.

It's one of the strongest foundations of any community.

Every Spartan embraces this belief by celebrating people of all abilities, backgrounds, identities, and experiences.

Because the Spartan community is strongest when everyone has the opportunity to participate.

    Stories Connect Generations

One conversation between generations can bridge decades.

An alumnus shares memories of campus from forty years ago.

A current student describes today's traditions.

A parent talks about bringing their child to their first football game.

A grandparent explains why Michigan State has remained part of their family for generations.

    Different eras.

    Different experiences.

    One community.

Stories help preserve those connections and remind us that we're all contributing to something larger than ourselves.

Community Doesn't End at the Edge of Campus

Being a Spartan isn't limited to East Lansing.

Across the country—and around the world—Spartans continue serving their communities as educators, healthcare professionals, entrepreneurs, artists, engineers, scientists, first responders, military members, and volunteers.

The Spartan network stretches far beyond campus.

    What connects it isn't geography.

    It's shared values.

    A commitment to learning.

    A spirit of service.

A willingness to support one another.

    Why Every Spartan Exists

Every Spartan was created with a simple belief:

    Everyone deserves to feel represented.

    Not just varsity athletes.

    Not just graduates.

    Not just one generation.

    Everyone.

Our mission is to celebrate the people, moments, and stories that define the Spartan experience.

That includes adaptive apparel because inclusion should never be an afterthought.

It includes Every Spartan Stories because memories deserve to be preserved.

It includes partnerships with ambassadors because every voice adds another chapter to the community's story.

This has never been just about clothing.

It's about helping people proudly express a connection that's already part of who they are.

  • Adaptive Apparel Is Here—Now Let's Talk About Why Inclusion Benefits Everyone

When most people hear the words adaptive apparel, they immediately think of one thing:

    "Clothing for people with disabilities."

While that's certainly true, it's also an incomplete picture.

At Every Spartan, we've always believed adaptive apparel is about something much bigger than clothing.

    It's about removing barriers.

    It's about creating choices.

It's about making sure every member of the Spartan community can wear apparel that represents who they are.

With the launch of our adaptive collection, we've heard incredible encouragement from people across the Michigan State community. But we've also had conversations that begin with:

"I never realized adaptive apparel could benefit someone like me."

That's exactly why this conversation matters.

    What Is Adaptive Apparel?

Adaptive apparel is clothing intentionally designed to make dressing easier, more comfortable, and more accessible.

Depending on the garment, adaptive features may include:

Magnetic closures instead of traditional buttons

    Alternative zipper placements

    Easy-access openings

    Modified fits for seated wear

Thoughtful construction that accommodates mobility devices or medical equipment

The goal isn't to change someone's style.

The goal is to remove unnecessary obstacles.

Good adaptive apparel allows people to focus less on getting dressed—and more on living their lives.

Adaptive Apparel Helps More People Than You Might Think

One of the biggest misconceptions about adaptive clothing is that it's designed for only a small percentage of people.

In reality, nearly everyone knows someone who could benefit from adaptive design.

    People Living with Disabilities

This is often the first group people think about—and for good reason.

    Individuals living with:

    Muscular dystrophy

    Cerebral palsy

    Multiple sclerosis

    Spinal cord injuries

    Arthritis

    Parkinson's disease

    Limb differences

    Neuromuscular conditions

may experience daily challenges that adaptive clothing can help address.

Simple changes in garment construction can make dressing easier, safer, and more independent.

People Recovering from Surgery or Injury

Adaptive apparel isn't only for permanent disabilities.

    Consider someone recovering from:

    Shoulder surgery

    Knee replacement

    Hip surgery

    A broken arm

    A broken wrist

    A sports injury

Temporary mobility limitations can make traditional clothing surprisingly difficult.

Adaptive features provide convenience during recovery and help people regain independence while they heal.

    Older Adults

As we age, many everyday tasks become more challenging.

Limited strength, reduced dexterity, arthritis, and decreased range of motion can all affect how easily someone gets dressed.

Adaptive clothing allows many older adults to maintain independence longer while preserving comfort and dignity.

    Caregivers

    Adaptive apparel also benefits caregivers.

Whether caring for a parent, spouse, child, or patient, clothing that's easier to put on and remove can make caregiving less physically demanding and more efficient.

Thoughtful design doesn't just help the wearer.

    It supports everyone involved.

The Difference Between "Accessible" and "Separate"

One of the reasons Every Spartan exists is because we've seen how often adaptive products are treated as separate.

    Separate catalog.

    Separate webpage.

    Separate marketing.

    Separate identity.

We asked ourselves a simple question:

    Why?

Why should someone who needs adaptive apparel have a different shopping experience than everyone else?

Why should Spartan pride be divided?

    Our answer was simple.

    It shouldn't.

    One Community. One Brand.

Every Spartan wasn't created to build another adaptive clothing company.

It was created to build one Spartan community.

    That means:

Traditional apparel and adaptive apparel live together.

The same designs are available to more people.

    Every customer is welcomed equally.

    Every story matters.

Because the Spartan experience belongs to everyone.

    Inclusion Makes Communities Stronger

Inclusion isn't about lowering standards or creating special treatment.

It's about making sure more people have the opportunity to participate.

    When communities become more inclusive:

    More voices are heard.

    More experiences are shared.

    More friendships are formed.

More people feel like they belong.

That benefits everyone—not just the individuals directly impacted.

    Why Representation Matters

Think back to the last time you saw someone who looked like you represented in advertising.

    It probably felt normal.

Now imagine rarely seeing yourself represented at all.

For many people living with disabilities, that's been the reality for decades.

Representation matters because it sends a simple but powerful message:

    You belong here.

When adaptive apparel is presented alongside traditional apparel—not hidden in a separate category—it communicates something equally important:

    You're not an afterthought.

    This Mission Is Personal

Every Spartan wasn't built from market research.

It was built from lived experience.

As someone who has navigated life with muscular dystrophy, I've experienced firsthand how the world often overlooks accessibility.

I've also experienced the incredible power of community.

That's why Every Spartan isn't just about apparel.

It's about creating a brand where people see themselves represented—not because it's trendy, but because it's the right thing to do.

Our mission has never been to create clothing for one group of people.

Our mission is to create apparel that reflects the full diversity of the Spartan family.

    Looking Ahead

The launch of our adaptive collection isn't the finish line.

    It's the beginning.

    We'll continue expanding:

    Apparel styles

    Inclusive designs

    StoryWear™ experiences

    Community partnerships

    Representation across every collection

    Because inclusion isn't a campaign.

    It's a commitment.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Is Every Spartan only for people with disabilities?

    No.

Every Spartan was created for the entire Spartan community.

Our adaptive and traditional collections are designed to exist together because Spartan pride belongs to everyone.

    What makes adaptive apparel different?

Adaptive apparel includes design features that make clothing easier to put on, take off, or wear comfortably for people with a wide range of mobility, dexterity, or medical needs.

Why doesn't Every Spartan separate adaptive apparel into its own brand?

    Because inclusion means belonging together.

Our goal is to remove unnecessary barriers—not create new ones.

Will Every Spartan continue expanding its adaptive collection?

    Yes.

We're committed to continuing to grow both our adaptive and traditional offerings while maintaining the same mission of inclusion and representation.

    Final Thoughts

Adaptive apparel is about much more than fabric, fasteners, or fit.

It's about creating a world where more people can participate fully, express themselves confidently, and feel represented in the communities they love.

At Every Spartan, we believe inclusion isn't something extra that gets added later.

It should be part of the foundation.

Because when more people are included, everyone benefits.

And when every member of the Spartan community has the opportunity to wear apparel that reflects who they are, we're not just creating clothing.

We're strengthening what it means to be a Spartan.

Every Ability. Every Moment. Every Spartan.

Whether you're shopping for yourself, a loved one, or simply want to support a more inclusive future, we invite you to explore the Every Spartan collection.

  • Welcome to Every Spartan™

There are moments when an idea becomes something more.

Every Spartan™ began not as a product, but as a question: Who gets to feel like they belong in green and white?

For many of us, Spartan pride is tied to memories — walking campus, cheering from the stands, late nights with teammates or classmates, family traditions passed down over generations. Those moments are powerful. They connect us. And they shape who we are.

But too often, not everyone experiences that sense of belonging in the same way.

Every Spartan™ was created to help change that.

This brand exists to honor the people, moments, and values that define the Spartan community — with intention, respect, and accessibility at the center. We believe Spartan pride belongs to everyone, and that representation should feel natural, not performative. That belief guides everything we’re building.

Why You’re Not Seeing Products Yet

You may notice that apparel isn’t available today. That’s intentional.

Every Spartan™ is being built carefully — with licensing compliance, accessibility, and storytelling done the right way from the start. We’re taking the time to ensure that what we release reflects the standards of the community it represents.

    This includes:

Designing traditional and adaptive apparel side by side

Building thoughtful partnerships and ambassador relationships

Ensuring accessibility is woven into design, not added as an afterthought

Creating a platform for stories that deserve to be told

We’re not interested in rushing to market. We’re interested in building something that lasts.

    More Than Apparel

At its core, Every Spartan™ is about moments over mascots.

It’s about the shared experiences that connect Spartans across backgrounds, generations, and abilities. It’s about pride that feels inclusive, not exclusive. And it’s about honoring tradition while making space for growth.

As we move forward, this space will be used to share:

    Updates on upcoming launches

Stories from within the Spartan community

Insights into how and why we design what we do

If you’ve signed up for updates, thank you. If you’re just discovering us, welcome.

This is just the beginning — and we’re glad you’re here.

    Every Ability.
